SGO and FWC Announce New Chief Executive Officer

The Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) and Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly (Kim) Hoarle, MBA, CAE, as the organizations’ new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 16, 2024.

Ms. Hoarle brings a wealth of experience in medical association and healthcare leadership and a passion for advancing women’s health and oncology care to her new role.

With a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in the non-profit healthcare sector, Ms. Hoarle has a proven track record of driving organizational growth, fostering innovation, enhancing member experience and engagement, and leading with impact. Her expertise in strategic planning, operational excellence, and stakeholder collaboration will be instrumental in guiding the SGO and FWC into the next phases of development.

Before joining the SGO and FWC, Ms. Hoarle was the Chief Executive at the American Burn Association (ABA), where she led numerous initiatives to improve member services and expand progressive educational offerings. Significant membership growth and organizational and financial transformation marked her tenure at the ABA.

“I am deeply honored to be selected to serve as the SGO and FWC CEO,” said Ms. Hoarle. “It is a privilege to be part of such a dedicated and passionate community advancing research, education, and advocacy for gynecologic cancer. I look forward to building on the SGO’s and FWC’s strong foundations to achieve our shared vision of a world with fewer cancer cases and where every person with gynecologic cancer can access the best possible care and support.”

Ms. Hoarle received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and her master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in non-profit management, from Roosevelt University. Her leadership style is defined as visionary, strategic leadership with a focus on achieving tangible results while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
