Give Hope. Fuel Research. Save Lives.
On December 2, 2025, the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) will participate in #GivingTuesday, a global movement that celebrates generosity, community, and collective impact.
At FWC, our mission extends far beyond financial support. We are dedicated to breaking the silence surrounding gynecologic cancers, advancing critical research, and providing women and families with the vital resources they need.
This GivingTuesday, every gift – no matter the size – can help us turn hope into action and build a future where no woman faces gynecologic cancer alone.
Your Support Saves Lives
Thanks to donations like yours, Dr. Elizabeth Thayer, recipient of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition Research Award, is making strides in improving gynecologic cancer awareness through health literacy.
Increasing awareness is vital. When patients understand their diagnoses and the reasons behind procedures, they can make informed decisions about their health. Unfortunately, many face barriers due to a lack of clear, accessible information.
Because of your support, Dr. Thayer can develop simple, inclusive communication strategies about gynecologic cancer symptoms and treatment options. This work not only enhances quality of life but also improves outcomes for those facing these cancers.
Dr. Thayer’s work is just one example of how your support is changing lives. We invite you to explore more stories from patients, survivors, families, researchers and care teams. They are a powerful reminder why our mission matters and how every act of giving helps move hope forward.
“The funding I received for this exploratory project laid the groundwork for several additional projects and has been a vital part of working towards my goal of becoming an independent investigator in gynecologic oncology. I admire the Foundation’s commitment to centering patient voices and supporting research that represents the promotion of patient-centered care.”

“I am so grateful to the FWC for this research grant. The financial burden of cancer care, from both a cost and time standpoint, has received a lot more attention over the last few years,” said Dr. Liang. “This funding will allow our team to further evaluate an educational intervention that we have been developing for patients and test it among an important group of people.”
